wow. I came here for mother’s day with my parents and I was surprisingly so impressed. I normally would never eat hibachi but this place was amazing! I ordered the scallops, shrimp and steak hibachi and everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I literally could not stop eating. The hibachi chef was so nice and the prices were great! Will definitely be coming back often.

I never write reviews and can't stand people who disparage small businesses online, but I feel the need to post this review as a public service announcement. It pains me to do this as I used to frequent Mizu many years ago and it was absolutely fantastic – a hidden treasure in Tottenville. However, today (5/2/2026), I had the worst food at Mizu that I've ever been served at a sushi restaurant. The rolls were absolutely tiny (around the size of a quarter or even smaller), far from fresh, had a strange smell, and an unpleasant aftertaste that's still with me an hour later – completely inedible. We couldn't eat our dinner and informed the staff accordingly. The manager shrugged her shoulders and said "people have different tastes" and removed all of the rolls from the bill except for one. They should be ashamed of themselves. And why does the front of the restaurant look like a pre-school coat closet (see attached photo)? Considering the unacceptable food, constant noise, and "Happy Birthday" singing that was happening in the other room, if you're looking for a Chuck E. Cheese experience with a Japanese twist, then this place is for you. Never again.

Went here for the first time today with 7 people for hibachi. Food was good but the service was absolutely terrible. The waitresses are rude and look bothered everytime we asked for something. I understand it’s a busy Friday night but they were rushing us out of the restaurant & constantly trying to grab our plates off the table while we were still eating. We had to ask a few times for just a simple napkin & water. They handed us the bill without even asking if we wanted dessert & when we asked if we get the ice cream that comes with the hibachi, the waitress looked so annoyed. The place was empty so after we finished our meals and paid, we stayed for a little to talk and hang out & the waitress comes over to tell us they are closing soon (we had about 30 mins until they closed) and proceeded to stand against the wall right next to our table waiting for us to get up making us just feel really uncomfortable and rushed out.

We came here for a family dinner after a long time and we all had a great fun time. Our Hibachi Chef Mr. Daniel was outstanding, skillful and on fire!! All in 100% recommend and do ask for Mr. Daniel as your chef next time!

I was there today to celebrate Kevin's birthday. The food is fresh .the cook is really good . The owner is more than a gentleman. I can never say anything bad about this establishment. I LOVED IT !
